The Willows Venue is nestled in the scenic Flint Hills just south of Abilene, Kansas. Our family farm has been lovingly transformed into a warm and inviting wedding venue, perfect for celebrating life’s most special moments.
2. What is the style of your venue?
Our venue blends simple elegance with rustic charm. Think classic countryside beauty with touches of sophistication—ideal for brides who want a naturally beautiful and timeless setting.
3. What is included when I book The Willows Venue?
Every booking includes access to our indoor and outdoor spaces, ceremony and reception areas, tables and chairs. We also provide on-site support to ensure your day runs smoothly.
4. How many guests can The Willows accommodate?
We can comfortably accommodate up to 240 guests building capacity, providing ample space for both intimate and larger celebrations.
Booking & Policies
5. How do I book a tour?
We’d love to show you around! You can schedule a tour by contacting us via our website or giving us a call. We’ll walk you through the venue, answer any questions, and help you envision your dream day.
6. How far in advance should I book?
Our calendar fills up quickly, especially during peak wedding seasons. We recommend booking at least 12-18 months in advance to secure your preferred date.
7. Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a $500 non-refundable deposit and a signature is required to secure your date.
8. What happens if the weather doesn’t cooperate?
Our indoor space provides a cozy and elegant optionif the weather doesn’t cooperate, ensuring your day remains stress-free and stunning.
Amenities & Vendors
9. Do you provide catering?
We do not provide in-house catering, but we welcome outside caterers and can recommend trusted local vendors who know our venue well.
10. Can we bring our own decorations?
Absolutely! We want your wedding to reflect your unique style. We just ask that decorations be free-standing and not damage the venue (no nails, staples, or confetti, please).
11. Do you allow alcohol?
Yes! You may bring your own alcohol with a designated bartender. We require all alcohol to be served responsibly and in compliance with Kansas state laws.
12. Are there accommodations nearby for out-of-town guests?
Yes! Abilene and surrounding areas offer hotels, cozy bed & breakfasts, and vacation rentals for your guests. We’re happy to provide recommendations!
Setup & Logistics
13. How early can we access the venue on our wedding day?
You’ll have access to the venue the day before your wedding, giving you plenty of time to set up, get ready, and enjoy your day stress-free.
14. Who is responsible for cleanup?
We ask that all personal items, sweep, gather up trash and put in the designated areas, and all decorations must be removed by 3:00 PM on Sunday after your event.
15. Can we have a rehearsal before the wedding?
Yes! We offer for rehearsals with a reset fee if you decide to host a meal on site. Just let us know - we’ll add that to your contract.
16. Is The Willows pet-friendly?
We love furry friends! Well-behaved pets are welcome for the ceremony with prior approval. We just ask that they are leashed and that someone is responsible for their care.
17. How do you accommodate summer weddings in the heat?
We offer flexible temperature control with open-air options. Our venue features a glass roll-up door on the south porch and two roll-up doors on the east and west, allowing for airflow and a comfortable setting.
18. Do you accommodate small events?
We prioritize weddings, but we do host smaller events. Our weekend fees are comparable to daily rentals of other facilities. We book small events 90 days out. Contact us for availability!
19.Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue. You can connect by selecting the network name and entering the provided password. If you have trouble connecting, please let a staff member know for assistance.
